I will overwhelm 'serious combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.

Former twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
